[Because I am still learning to interpret - in some cases - what I hear and see in dreams and visions, it is advisable that the reader exercises discernment:]

The kitchen, as noted in previous messages, represents an area within our temples where we commune with the Holy Triune. The free flowing water and silver stainless steel faucet together symbolize GOD’s powerful, cleansing, thirst-quenching and refreshing Holy Spirit. Because our kitchen faucet has a filter, I am reminded how it is that GOD’s Holy Spirit is pure and free of contaminants. And in the same manner that drinking water flows to all homes, this anointing is being made available to everyone! The transparent glass bottle, within the context of this vision, symbolizes the need to align ourselves with this holy outpouring and receive it! The neck of the bottle onto which the water also flowed was very interesting because it scripturally symbolizes that the Holy Spirit wants to restore grace unto “stiff” necks!

Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? Saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand made all these things? Ye stiffnecked and uncircumsized in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost, as your fathers did do ye. “ (Acts. 7:51)

It is also worth noting that this vision importantly symbolizes, on one level of understanding, Joel’s prophecy following a great time of duresse and repentance:

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. (Joel 2:28-29)

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.” (Prov. 1:23)

What comes to me to say is that this is a time of great alignment. It is a time to surrender to and align ourselves with GOD’s Holy Spirit, and receive His holy anointing. The words “Do Not Suppress The Spirit” strongly comes to mind.

In a flash vision Tuesday afternoon during prayers I saw the stainless steel sink in our kitchen. Two hands [which I think were mine] was holding a clear glass bottle.  I saw water from the Faucet pouring out abundantly inside the bottle and on the neck  of the bottle. End of Vision.

                                                                                                                                                                                                     After prayers early this morning:

Mercy Is The Greatest Gift of Redemption.”

Immediately, I understood that we are released from judgment and redeemed from the Law through divine mercy accorded to us by Jesus Christ. But this sentence is also an important reminder to extend mercy to our oppressors even when unjustly persecuted, afflicted and condemned. The following verses generally sum up the meaning of these 7 words heard this morning:

“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.” (Mat. 5:7)

“For He shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shown no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.” (James. 2:13)

“But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Mt. 9:13)

“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son…verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.” (Jn. 5:22-24)

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of GOD; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. “

Beloved Lord Jesus the Christ thank you for the message this morning. Have mercy, dear Lord, on us all. Give us strength, dear Lord, to have mercy on all who oppress and afflict us.  And may we receive mercy from all whom we have oppressed and afflicted. May we always remain within your divine will, and may everything work in accordance with your divine plan of redemption. This we pray in your most precious and holy name.

As noted [supra], in the same manner that King David entered the Holy Place in the temple and ate of the showbread  (Mk. 2:24-28 Cf. 1 Sam. 21:1-6) the kitchen is symbolically comparable to that holy place within ourselves where we commune with Christ our High Priest and Intercessor to GOD the FATHER.  And just as the showbread satisfied David’s appetite and strengthened him, so it is that communion with the Master satisfies nutrient-depleted and tired souls. At the risk of profaning the holy temple, it should be carefully considered that those who enter and partake of the spiritual manna, first seek to be securely guided by Divine Providence before sharing this heavenly provision with others, as did King David:

Have ye never heard what David did….How he went into the house of GOD ….and did eat the showbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?” (Mk. 2:25-26)

The essence of this message is that we are all called to enter in the Holy Place, and eat and rest in the Lord regularly so that we may grow in knowledge, wisdom and understanding, and be refreshed, healed and sanctified from on High. Communing and resting in the Holy Place is a precious gift Jesus gave each one of us through the New Covenant, and we are richly blessed beyond measure to receive it. There really are no human words that exist to express the gratitude and thankfulness to the Holy One who made this possible. Indeed, only Spirit can bear witness with Spirit for such expressions!

The full meaning of “resting in the Lord” would be incomplete without mentioning the Sabbath day.  It was during the evening of Friday, April 4th, before falling asleep that I saw the open door leading into the Master bedroom.  I think this vision symbolized a timely sign because it took place during the Sabbath which we know from scriptures falls on the 7th day of the week, and begins at sunset on Friday and ends at sunset on Saturday.

The Sabbath (or Sabbat) is a weekly day of rest and/or worship that is observed in Judeo-Christian faiths. The term derives from the Hebrew Shabbat “to cease”….The term was first used in the biblical account of the last day of creation. It was repeated, as a commandment, as the fourth of the Ten Commandments (according to the Jewish, Anglican, Reformed, other Christian and Orthodox traditions, while it is the third commandment as enumerated in Roman Catholic and Lutheran traditions.) A number of other religions have a similar practice, and the term has also been imported into secular usage.” (Source: Wikipedia)

The authentic Sabbath Day has been an exhaustive subject of religious controversies. Some believe it should be honored on Saturday, others believe it should be honored on Sunday, while some others believe that there is no longer a need to recognize the Sabbath day since the implementation of the New Covenant.

As is the case today, consider ancient religious anomalies that surrounded this ceremonious day. The Sabbath had become polluted by priests and Pharisees who opted to institute additional observances that were not part of the Mosaic Law.  In response to these legalistic practices, Jesus [who has been given authority over heaven and earth (Mt. 28:18)] brought to remembrance Samuel’s prophetic utterance. That is to say, He recalled when King David entered the temple and ate showbread which was traditionally consumed only by priests and their families on the day of the Sabbath.

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold why do they on the Sabbath day that which is not lawful? And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an  hungered, he, and they that were with him? How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the showbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests and gave also to them which were with him? And he said unto then, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.” (Mr. 2:24-28 Cf. 1 Sam. 21:1-6)

Unlike the Pharisees and priests of the day, Jesus our Lord, makes concession for His guiltless anointed, and permits elbow room when needed: “The Sabbath was made for the man, and not man for the Sabbath” (Mark. 3:1-6, Cf. Lk. 13:15-16; 14:1-6).  But nowhere in scriptures is it written that He has abolished observance of the Sabbath day, which falls on the 7th day. Because we are no longer accountable to the law when we obediently place ourselves under the terms of His New Covenant, does not mean that there is a need to disregard the law.  It can better be said that the Lord came to show the people a Holy-Spirit-filled, conscience-led way to observe this holy day without doctrinal manmade practices and legalistic coercion.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” (Mat. 5:17-18)

GOD included observance of the Sabbath as part of the Ten Commandments, and established it as an important “perpetual” sign between HIM and HIS people. From what I understand, we should esteem every day as holy unto the Lord but to disregard the 7th day as a specific day of rest and holiness appears to violate a divine law and commandment put in place for higher purposes of sanctification.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (Ex. 20:8)  [10 commandments]

“…Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you…Six days may work be done but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord….the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever, for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.” (Ex. 31:13-17)

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.” (Rom. 10:12)

A kitchen is an area in the house [or temple] where we prepare and consume food. Symbolically speaking, it is where we partake of spiritual manna. The bright, sparkling and modern looking kitchen brought to mind Christ’s New Covenant and echoes the words: “Behold I make all things new.” The stainless steel appliances used for food preparation and cleaning dishes symbolize the flawless and redeeming furnishings of the New Temple. And the color silver, among other things, biblically symbolizes redemption and the Word of GOD. It is also noteworthy that access to the Master bedroom was through the kitchen wall. That is to say: by first partaking of the prepared manna in the kitchen, we are given to understand the significance of the symbols associated with the Master bedroom, and enter.

To “rest in the Lord” refers to a state of intermission and cessation from distractions which deter us from maintaining a close personal relationship with Him. It can be defined as a time when we cross dimensional barriers, and rest in the consciously unfathomable gentle Spirit of the Lord. It can also be defined as a time to drink from the deep fountain of spiritual knowledge and wisdom when thirsting for answers to difficult questions and seeking resolution to conflicting situations. Most importantly, it is time spent with Him in meditation, refreshing comfort, humility and in Love.

Significantly, Prophet Isaiah referred to one’s chamber [i.e. bedchamber] as a place of shelter during a specific time of cosmic chaos and battle between heavenly powers and principalities. I am reminded of this prophet’s “Little Apocalypse” which speaks of cataclysmic judgments upon earth’s inhabitants during a destructive time when the whole earth will be “turned upside down” (Refer to Isaiah Ch. 24:1-12.) Clearly, scriptures teach it will be a prophetic time of battle, judgement and unprecedented upheaval. And to obediently retreat in one’s chamber and rest in the Lord will be essential to mental, spiritual and in some cases physical survival:

Come my people enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish Leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent, and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.” (Isa. 26:20-21; 27:1).

It is essential to note that the Almighty One is not an angry GOD of revenge, fire and brimstone as supposed by many who read these scriptures. Rather, these cataclysmic tribulations and judgments are, in part, the accountable consequences mankind has unrepentantly incurred upon himself for having violated laws that militate against the divine order. And it certainly is not all about doom and gloom! Having disclosed these severe revelations, Prophet Isaiah afterwards burst into a joyful song of the fruitful vineyard which symbolizes a blossoming and budding period of renewal when Christ ushers in the Messianic Kingdom on earth. A time for rejoicing indeed!

After prayers, I saw myself standing in a large and modern-looking kitchen. Everything in this kitchen was sparkling clean and orderly, with silver stainless steel appliances and bright yellow decorating accents here and there. On one wall was a door that slowly opened by itself. Through the open doorway was a bedroom with a large King sized bed composed of an ornately-carved headboard. Instantaneously, I realized this was a Master bedroom. End of vision.

The open door in this particular vision symbolized an open gate, and the Master bedroom symbolized a place of repose and refreshment. The Master bed with ornate headboard symbolized the Spirit of the Master Jesus Christ (Mat. 23:8) who is also the Head of the true Church (Eph. 5:23).

There was no doubt that I was being called in to rest. And while this message had personal application, it is also a vision that applies to the entire body of Christ during these critical days of change and upheaval.

Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Mt. 11:28-30)
