In a vision today I saw a pair of rubber boots/rain boots being handed out over a counter.

Rain can symbolize GOD pouring blessings on earth.  Scriptures also teach that GOD sends rain in due season.   And while this vision can symbolize a rainy Fall season, most likely for the Eastern part of the United States, it also conveys that the Lord provides for our basic needs.  We are so blessed to be under the shelter of the Most High.

GOD speaking to the children of Israel through Moses:

And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.”  (Deut. 29:5)

Sometimes funny things happen.  A bookmark which I have used in different books over the last couple of years popped up yesterday in a most unusual and funny way.  The unusualness of how it manifested moved me to share the message written on the bookmark:

   happiness-001.jpg

The following words are written below the Lily on the reserve side of the bookmark:

  bookmark-001.jpg

In brief, this simple bookmark captured what is missing in the body of believers today:  Happiness!  Yes, this nation is facing difficult times. But people all over the world throughout history are, and continue to face hardships.  And because we live in a fallen world, everyone at one point or another has and will face difficulties, at least until the Lord returns to take full dominion of the earth. Not that it is my intention to spread doom and gloom, but this is not factoring into the equation severe prophecies that have yet to unfold.

This messsage does not convey that we are called to gloss over hardships with a phony type of happiness, nor not to have compassion and not help others who experience difficulties. Nor to not pay attention to prophecies. No, far from it!  But as a victorious body of believers we need to keep focusing on our eternal inheritance, let the Holy Spirit fill us up with GOD’s holy oil of gladness and share IT for the benefit of others.

Many of you reading here can testify that when we crucify the flesh, a sudden onslaught of afflictions ensue like a torrential flood in our lives.  Mostly, this is created by the enemy who wants to deter us from our new path and test our mettle. In great part, it is also because we are finally facing our own weaknesses in the light of GOD’s truth.  At one point when I felt like I had really reached the breaking point, the following Words were spoken: “DO NOT WALLOW IN SORROW.  See, through the Holy Spirit the Lord pierced through the thick dark fog and illuminatingly disclosed that my reaction to the afflictions was maximizing, even surpassing the intensity of the afflictions themselves. The hardships that could have been avoided had I put into application the Lord’s instructions immediately!

As sons and daughters of GOD, we are being called to rise like the emblematic white Lily above the difficulties and sorrows of this world. And as a living body of believers we are being called to ”share happiness”, to create solutions and change lives in accordance with the move of the Holy Spirit. And it’s funny how sometimes this can happen in simple and unusual ways.

“I am the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valley. “ (Song of Solomon: 2:1)

Two days ago after prayer, I saw in a flash vision a country road or pathway.  What was so unusual about the vision was the abundance of flowers. Vibrant flowers of all kinds, colors and sizes abundantly adorned both sides of the road for as far as the eye could see. In real life I have visited beautiful gardens but nothing even remotely comes close to what was seen in the vision. And there, nestled amongst the flowers near the side of the road, was a dainty garden bench.  End of vision.

This fragrant vision conveyed beauty, tranquility, freedom and peace.  Was this scene a place in higher realms? I believe so.  Importantly, it conveyed that when we walk the new pathway with Christ He will, along the way, provide restful interludes and promised provisions for His own when needed. The Holy Spirit wants GOD’s people to know that if we remain obediently sensitive to His calling and instructions during periods of tribulations, He will provide us with a bench of repose:

“ And [GOD] hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his graces in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any mans should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Eph. 2:6-10)

Message received Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”

4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”

7 “I will declare the decree:
The LORD has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”

10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
12 KISS THE SON lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
